Omicron Chi Omega Educational & Charitable Foundation

Omicron Chi Omega Educational & Charitable Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization, has approximately 120 members who are associated with the Omicron Chi Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in Woodbridge, VA.  One of the initiatives of the Foundation is to support education and development of the youth in our community.

OUR INITIATIVES

The Omicron Chi Omega Educational & Charitable Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization was established by Omicron Chi Omega Chapter members of the Sorority in 2005.  Their Chapter has developed several initiatives aimed at education and empowering our communities.

These initiatives target individuals and organizations throughout the Prince William County of Virginia. Our programs primarily support community-specific concerns that focus on education, mentoring, economic development and political action such as:  Partnership in Math and Science with NVCC (Woodbridge Campus), Tax Freedom Day, AKA Connection, Food Drive for the Homeless, Un-Trim a Tree and Coat Drives.

In addition, many of our programs address local and nationwide issues that provide service to and financially support health and cancer awareness (i.e, Relay for Life, Race for the Cure, HIV/AIDS, Organ Donation, Breast Cancer Awareness, Buckle Up), the Arts (Prince William County Symphony, Manassas NOVA Orchestra, Woodbridge Community Choir), and Senior Citizen programs and activities.
